Spreading the Word

For the month of September Compassion has asked sponsors to blog about child sponsorship in order to raise awareness about the needs of children in poverty all over the world.  As part of this initiative, they are hoping to find sponsors for over 3,100 children in need of love and support.

I would like to encourage you to visit Compassion's website and pray over the children.  Maybe one will stand out to you to sponsor or to commit to praying for for the remainder of the month or until they find a sponsor.  Maybe it will be a little girl with a single mother and several siblings.  Maybe it will be a young boy with a handicap.  Whoever God leads you to you can be sure that the child desperately needs your prayers that he or she will come to know Christ and that He will protect him or her from the many devastating situations poverty can place a child in.
